My practice aims to emphasis the sensational capabilities of the media and the negative notion that the 'pop culture' of society is a brainwashing medium. I wanted to create a collective dream world of surreal appearance to emphasis the sensationalism of the media. My subject is Lady Gaga, a pop icon, who already comments on commercialism and commoditisation of the media. I paint on large grey-board using emulsion and acrylics.
